ESCAPE THE NOISE

by: Michele-Lyn Ault

“Though surrounded by possibly twenty thousands fans, He turned away from them. Christ repeatedly escaped the noise of the crowd in order to hear the Voice of God.” — Max Lucado

If Jesus needed to escape the noise of the crowd, and regularly seek solitary, quite places, how much more do we?

We need places and times for refreshing and rejuvenation for our spirits and souls. In that place we draw in close to God and wait on Him to breathe new life in, so we can pour life out. We need places and times for refocusing, to see clearly the vision God has given us, and realign our hearts and actions to God’s purpose for us. We need places and times for renewing our devotion to God, and guarding diligently our hearts.

And although we all have so many things-to-do and things-we-do, in that place we take a stand — proving those things-to-do and things-we-do don’t have us.
