THE PATH OF LIFE

God will make known to us the path of life, and fill us with joy in His presence. {Ps 16:11} On the path of life we will find His grace, His favor, His blessing, His love, and all the things Christ died to give us. There are many paths we could take that lead to a dark place where destruction is found. It’s where the enemy would love for us to walk.

The path of life is not a perfect and trouble free life. We may go through hard and trying places, but Jesus said we would and could still have peace. We may go through troubled and depressing places, but God still promises to give us joy in His presence, even in those places. We may find ourselves in places that we never thought we would, and wonder how can anything good come? But we have God’s promise that His plans are good, and He is able to work all things together for His purpose.

The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy every part of our life. Let us not be people the enemy can count on letting him. Our part isn’t to make things perfect for us or those we love. Our part is to submit to God, to resist and oppose the enemy, and to keep our eyes on the One we follow as He makes known to us the path of life. {John 10:10, 14:27; James 4:7}
