CHOOSE VICTORY

The Apostle Peter tells us that God has given us everything we need by His divine power to live a godly life. (2 Peter 1:3) The question is, will we choose to walk in that power? God is a gentle, generous God who gives us easy access to Him through Jesus Christ. But some days, it’s easier to default to our own methods. We want to try hard, and we have a hard time believing that God would give us victory without fighting on our own. We want to “work” and feel good about accomplishment. But, that path that is apart from His power leaves us empty and defeated. Today, let’s choose to stop and listen before we step. Let’s receive His unending grace moment by moment, and tune our hearts to His voice for each decision we come to. That is where true victory is found.
