NOT WITHOUT AIM

by: Meredith Bernard and Michele-Lyn Ault

Running is hard work, but every runner I know says it’s worth it. A friend said recently she felt most alive and most close to God when she was running. Perhaps it’s the sheer will of doing it. Taking one step in front of the other and just doing it. Not giving up. Not veering off course in an effort to reach the end of the race in the best way and best shape possible. If life is a race and God sets the beginning and the end, we have a call to run the in-between well. We are to run our race in such a way, as not without aim. We run with purpose in every step. And when we find ourselves unsure of the way to go, we trace the steps of the One we follow. “So I do not run aimlessly.” (1 Corinthians 9:26 ESV)
