YOU ARE SEEN

by: Meredith Bernard

“We are called to purpose—even in obscurity. Though Christ was misunderstood, unrecognized for His true identity and unappreciated for what He had to offer, His life had immeasurable purpose—as does your life.

It’s easy to feel obscure at times, but not easy to be content with it. Rarely does our discontentment come from acting like Christ, but instead from acting as our old self. The self that is supposed to be dead. The self that is living in her old life, not her resurrected life.

There is far more purpose for a life in Christ, than a life separate from Him. When God looks on His daughter, all He sees is beautiful, beloved, purposed.

He’s calling you to a purpose greater than yourself, and given you the means to live up to it, because it is not up to you, anyway. It is up to the One living in you. He is your life. He is your purpose.”

“Your old life is dead. Your new life is with Christ in God. He is your life. When Christ shows up again on this earth, you’ll show up, too—the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ.” {Colossians 3:3-4 MSG}
