THE SPIRIT REMINDS US

Jesus’ feet had to the leave the earth, so He could be with us all at once. Before He left He promised His Holy Spirit — our Comforter, our Counselor, our Helper, our Intercessor, our Advocate, our Strengthener, our Standby — whom the Father sent in His name, in His place, to represent Him and act on His behalf.

The Holy Spirit teaches us all things, and helps us remember the truth when the lies come battering and we forget who God made us to be; when we forget that Who is living on the inside of us is greater than anything in this world; when we forget that He is the power that works within us that God uses to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask for, imagine, or dream of; when we try to do it all on our own, again.

When the circumstances of our life or our inadequacy seems so much bigger than we can handle even one more day, the Spirit speaks peace to our hearts, and reminds us it’s going to be ok. Jesus already overcame the world.
