When we are in places we never thought or hoped we would be, our eyes tend to remain fixed on those places, and on the conditions of our situations. All the while, God’s eyes remain fixed on the condition of our hearts. He wants to bring comfort, healing, and restoration to our souls in those hard, unexpected places.

He feels the pain of the disappointment you feel, and wants to walk closely with you bringing you comfort through it. When you come out on the other end you possess a strength, a compassion, and wisdom that you did not have before you walked through it. And you become more and more like the woman God made you to be, and one He will use to bring hope and healing to others.

“We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that He has for us.” {Colossians 1:9-12}
