FALL INTO YOU

by: Michele-Lyn Ault

Lord, I’ve been that girl. I’ve been her — idling on the runway of my life. You said, “Go.” And I said, “Wait.” You said, “It’s time.” And I said, “I’m not ready.” I go out to the edge of all You have for me, and You say, “Jump!” and I shrink back.

But I read Your Word, and it says that Your soul takes no delight in one who shrinks back. And that it is impossible to please You without faith.

I want to please You, and I want You to take pleasure in me. I know those scriptures are not about rejection, they are about love and pain — like the pain of a parent who loves a child that does not trust his or her love.

Father, I know Your love can be trusted. I want to trust You more. I’m almost ready to let go, Lord. And if I fall, let me fall into You. {Hebrews 10:38, 11:6}
