LOVE WELL

Lord, I have my ever growing list of wants and needs always before You. And because of Your love and kindness toward me, You delight in every detail of my life. I have no doubt You love me well. But Lord, help me to love well.

When we love someone we care about what they care about, and I can’t deny that people are your heartbeat. In one short, yet powerful, world changing statement Your Son made when He walked this earth, He summed up the law and all of life, “Love God first, and love others as yourself.”

To be honest, sometimes the hardest part is loving myself well. And how can I love others as myself, when I don’t love myself well? So my earnest prayer is, Lord, help me to love You well, love myself well, and love others well in the sweet name of Jesus. Amen.
