YOU HAVE INFLUENCE

Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone.

Whether you realize it or not, or whether you believe it or not, you have influence. There is someone always watching how you do life, and adjusting theirs to do it a little more like you. Just as there is always someone you are watching.

That makes you a leader and a follower.

At the word’s origin you find the definition of influence to be “imperceptible or indirect action exerted to cause changes.” Which basically means we are, many times, unaware of our influence or how we are influenced by others.

Just because influence is in someways imperceptible and indirect, it doesn’t mean we have to be unintentional. We may not always get to choose who we lead or who follows us, but we can choose who we will follow and what kind of leader we want to be.
