COMMIT TO TENDING

by: Michele-Lyn Ault

Habits, wanted and unwanted ones, are not formed overnight. It takes small steps, daily steps, to make new ones. It is God’s way of growing things—little by little.

“Commit to daily tending. Our lives will bloom through daily decisions and habits—daily tending, nurturing, and pruning—not just the giant leaps made once in a while.” — Lara Casey

Most of the daily choices we make may feel like well thought out decisions. Rather, they are habits. Small habits may mean relatively little on their own, but over time, the meals we order, what comes out of our mouth each day, whether we spend or save, how often we exercise, the way we think, how often we spend time with God, praying, and in the Word has enormous impacts on our life—health, joy, finances, relationships, body, heart, mind, and soul.

How we spend our time, how we live every moment—even the small ordinary, mundane moments—add up to our life. Let us build our life, intentionally, meaningfully, little by little, by choosing to commit to the daily tending of our lives.

And, always remember the grace of God.
