FIGHT FOR GOOD HABITS

by: Michele-Lyn Ault

Are you living how you want to live? Are you going where you want to go? Are you doing what you want to do? Are you being who you want to be?

These are hard, but necessary questions. They are not selfish. They are questions we need to ask ourselves regularly. They are questions sometimes God asks us to help wake up to our life—this one big, crazy, beautiful life we have been given to live.

Practice, discipline, habits are not the most fun things, but I think they are more important than we realized when it comes to living the life we are called to live. We cannot do it apart from God’s grace.

“God’s grace gives us both the desire and the ability to be righteous and follow Him. Good habits create a framework that God fills with His grace.” Good habits are worth fighting for, because “the kind of woman you will be in five, ten, or twenty years from now will be determined by the habits you have today.” —Chip Ingram

Think about your future self in 5 or 10 years. What can you start practicing today to help become her?
