Pace Session Devotion: God is Enough

by | Nov 25, 2015 | DEVOTIONS

It feels like you’ve gone off course without Me. But the truth is even when you wander, I will never leave you. I’ve given you everything you need, and true staying power begins with giving all of Me, all of you. You say with your lips you love Me, but find it hard to live out. I get that. I made myself human to experience what you experience and meet you where you are. I came as one of you, because that was the only way to bring you back to me.

My appearing brought salvation through embodied-Grace and in that grace I give faith enough to believe in the impossible – faith enough to believe in even Me. If you let it, my grace will train you to love as I love and live for what gives life. If you allow, I’ll enable you to live self-controlled, upright and godly. Apart from me, any attempts at these will fail. You see your salvation as the prize at the end of the journey, when it’s only the beginning. I know the way to The Way can be hard and weary-laden, but in Me you’ll find strength and guidance enough.

I will always be the enough the world can never provide. I long to help you, love you, hold you, protect you and guide you.I long to lead you that you would in turn lead others. I long for you to long for me with an expectant hope for the Hope that I’ve promised. While you wait, I’ll renew your strength and give the endurance you can’t find on your own. I’ll keep you focused on what matters most, by reminding you when you mostly forget. The question is, will you let me?

Go Deeper: Titus 2:11-13, Isaiah 40:31.

Meredith Bernard is a perfectly imperfect Daughter of the King, wife to her cattle man and “Mama” to two littles. After leaving a career in corporate sales, she now pursues the passion God has given her to be a SAHM and photographer, offering encouragement through her Lens and her Pen. She invites you to follow along with her grace-filled (not necessarily graceful) motherhood mishaps, days raking hay, chasing cows and kids on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
